MUTTON BUSTIN’ GUIDELINES

(For your child’s safety)

 WELCOME TO MUTTON BUSTIN’

 

Welcome to the Responder Relief Rodeo Mutton Bustin’ event!  We want everyone to have a safe, fun and memorable event so please be aware of the following guidelines so that everything goes as smoothly as possible.

 

  1. ONLY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN MAY REGISTER A CHILD IN THE MUTTON BUSTIN’ EVENT.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

  2. The entry fee is $40 per rider, 1 entry per child.  Entries will only be confirmed once entry form, and fees are received.  The waiver will need to be presented at check-in.

  3. Entry fee must be paid prior to or when your child is checked in for Mutton Bustin'

  4. The first round of Mutton Bustin’ will be held on Friday afternoon, August 15th, at 5:00 p.m

    1. ​The top 5 will proceed to the finals at the rodeo on August 16th approximately 6:45 to 7pm.

  5. The second round of Mutton Bustin’ will be held on Saturday August 16th at 4pm

    1. The top 5 will proceed to the finals at the rodeo on August 16th approximately 6:45 to 7pm. 

  6. Prizes will be given to all participants and a buckle will be given to the winner from the top 10 contestants.

 

ENTRY DEADLINE is 5pm August 11th, or sooner if full.  The fees are non-refundable

 

  • Contestants Eligibility:  Age 4 to 7 as of the event date.  Weight:  55 lbs or less

  • Dress Code:  Long sleeved shirt, long pants, boots, protective vest and helmet (will have if necessary) NO SPURS

  • Check In:  On Friday 8/15 at 4PM at the tent next to the Crow's Nest -- Start Time is 5:00PM

  • Check In: On Saturday 8/16 at 3:15PM at the Crow's Nest -- Start Time is 4:00PM.

  • Please look for the Mutton Bustin’ Check in Signs.

  • Riders not checked in 15 minutes prior to the event will forfeit their entry (No Ride)

  • You will receive instruction on when and where to meet your Mutton Bustin’ Liaison when you check-in.

  • For safety reasons, only 1 parent/guardian will be allowed behind the chutes with the rider.

 

** Contestants must be checked-in no later than 45 minutes prior to each event.  Arrival after that could result in your child being removed from the event.
